The Bali House, where the rainforest meets the beach in beautiful Manuel Antonio.
The Bali House is a 5 bedroom 7 bath Balinese villa nestled into the rainforest just steps away from the beach. This unique property welcomes the jungle and the refreshing sea breezes, creating a cool and exotic location that intoxicates our guests with the sights and sounds of nature. Pampering, privacy, and seclusion are paramount at the Bali House. Come enjoy the peace and quiet - no loud neighbors, no street traffic noise, only the sounds of the jungle and the waves rolling in on the beach can be heard at night. The Bali House is the only rental home on a 50 acre reserve offering total privacy and seclusion. Monkeys visit our pool deck daily, many sloths live on the property, and if you are a bird lover, toucans, parrots, mot-mot's, hummingbirds and many other exotic birds can be seen here.
Most rental homes in Manuel Antonio are perched high in the hills and you must take a taxi or a bus to the beach. At Bali House you simply walk down our path and you are on the beach in two minutes. It's only a 10-15 minute walk down the beach to Manuel Antonio National Park and the many shops and restaurants which are located outside the park. Our location is perfect for guests who love the beach and for those who want to maximize their beach time. Take an early morning swim in the 85 degree waters of the Pacific or take a walk along the beach any time of day. Come back to the house and relax poolside on our deck or under the gazebo. Sunsets on the beach are spectacular, and many of our guests build bonfires and stay on the beach until late in the evening. Walk back to the house along our lighted pathway which makes the beach accessible after dark.
Our villa is housed in four separate structures surrounding a suspended infinity pool. The main living pavilion houses the kitchen, dining area, sitting area, living room and laundry room. Each bedroom suite has a private entrance, air conditioning, king bed, sitting area, desk, large bathroom, and deck. The villa sleeps 10-12 people comfortably. The Bali House was designed by Balinese architect Ketut Arthana. Arthana is internationally recognized for his insightful work in designing luxury residences, tropical resorts and spas throughout Asia, Hawaii, North America and Europe including the elegant Puri Woolandari hotel in Bali, one of the Small Leading Hotels of the World. Bali House was constructed in Bali of native hardwoods, dissasembled, and shipped to Costa Rica where it was reconstructed by a team of Balinese craftsmen.
