For some people there’s nothing more relaxing than spending time at the beach. These people would do well to consider the beaches of Manuel Antonio and Quepos, as the Manuel Antonio area boasts several beaches including: Manuel Antonio, Espadilla, Playitas and Biesanz.
All four of these pale sandy beaches create postcard perfect surroundings. Soft pale sand, clear blue water and lush greenery. Perfect for relaxing, swimming, and hiking.
In addition, Manuel Antonio offers numerous activities including ocean kayaking, water rafting, dolphin tours, canopy tours, and hiking trails. When the sun goes down, tourists can enjoy a guided night walk to search for wildlife or join the locals in festivities as the town comes alive with music and dance.
When tourists can tear themselves away from the beach, they can visit magnificent waterfalls, butterfly gardens or Manuel Antonio National Park. While the park is relatively small, it is the most popular park in Costa Rica and is the gem of the country.
Quepos is somewhat different. The area doesn’t have a traditional beach as the town is in fact a waterfront to a river mouth. The water and “beach” are steps away from the town with a newly built marina.
Be on the look out for a variety of wildlife, such as: vibrant colored birds, anteaters, caiman, monkeys, sloths and iguanas
For a day of fun, be sure to book a trip to Cano island for some first class scuba diving.
When considering your next luxury vacation in Costa Rica, the beaches of Manuel Antonio could be your ideal choice.
